The Iceberg That Sinks Organizational Change

It’s like trying to build a house without a foundation – it’ll look good for a short while, until the walls fall down!

Changing an organization’s culture

Changing an organization’s culture is one of the most difficult leadership challenges. That’s because an organization’s culture comprises an interlocking set of goals, roles, processes, values, communications practices, attitudes and assumptions.

The elements fit together as an mutually reinforcing system and combine to prevent any attempt to change it.

Recording iPad Screen Options

Recording iOS Devices in OS X Yosemite

There is one additional way to record your iPad screen, but it can only be done on a Mac that runs OS X 10.10, a.k.a Yosemite. Here are the steps that you need to do just that.

Connect your iPad to your Mac via the USB charging cable.
Open Quicktime and choose File > New Movie Recording.
In the drop-down menu next to the record button, make sure you put a check mark next to your iPad under the Microphone and Camera menus.
Now, click the red record button to begin recording your iPad screen.
When you are done, hover your mouse over the iPad display and press the stop button.
To complete the process, name and save your recording.
The whole process is very simple and easy to accomplish, and because Quicktime comes free with every Mac, there is no need to buy any additional software. You also don't need a Wi-Fi connection, like you do with the AirPlay options above. Watch the video below for a quick demonstration of how simple this method really is.

Copyright Flowchart for Education

It is the responsibility of all educators to model good digital citizenship for their students. Especially when it comes to copyright, plagiarism and intellectual property. The waters are murky. Not being familiar with online digital rights and responsibilities (hey, teachers did not grow up with the Internet being around), educators are wading through uncharted waters (hey, I did not know that I could not just google an image to use. If someone puts it up online it is free for the taking). That does not mean they can close their eyes and pretend life is the same or that the same rules apply to online versus offline use of copyrighted material with their students.
